Spring practice kicks off Thursday for Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh opens spring practice Thursday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.
Pat Narduzzi and his staff will be monitoring competition at several key positions as they look to replace major contributors from 2016, notably running back James Conner and quarterback Nate Peterman.
"A lot of question marks about who we are and what we are going to be and who is going to fill the spots," Narduzzi said Wednesday.
"There's some interesting competitions that will come out of this spring and I think the kids are as excited as the coaches so I think that's a positive."
The Panthers have 15 practice sessions scheduled ahead of the Blue-Gold game set for April 15 at Heinz Field.
