Police: Cambria County man busted with fentanyl, cocaine, $2K in cash
CENTER TOWNSHIP – A Cambria County man is facing multiple charges after a drug investigation and traffic stop.
State police said Kenneth Polites Jr., 34, of Elmora, was observed operating a vehicle along Route 119 in Centre Township, Indiana County, on Nov. 9 at 1:29 p.m.
After being stopped by state police, Polites was taken into custody.
During a search of Polites and his vehicle, police said they found him in possession of $2,000 in cash, 24 grams of suspected fentanyl powder, 41 stamp bags of suspected fentanyl, 81 grams of suspected cocaine, 20 grams of suspected cocaine and 46 suspected Clonazepam pills.
Polites was arraigned Thursday on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegally operating a vehicle without ignition interlock and operating a vehicle without a title or required financial responsibility.
Polites is in the Indiana County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 30.
