Infant found in Saxton home after homicide-suicide
SAXTON – State police said an infant was found inside a home after a man and his girlfriend died there in a homicide-suicide Monday night.
Investigators said the infant was not injured and was handed over to Child Protective Services.
State police identified the deceased found as Mark Lemin, 33, and Kayla Ruby, 20.
Officials said their investigation determined that Lemin shot Ruby and then took his own life.
Huntingdon County District Attorney David Smith said Lemin had called 911 and admitted he had shot his girlfriend Kayla Ruby.
State police from Huntingdon and Bedford said they responded to the shooting at approximately 7:10 p.m. at the house in the 2000 block of Sawdust Drive in Carbon Township, Huntingdon County.
State police said the shootings took place before they arrived.
They said the man and woman lived in the residence together.
The incident is still being investigated.
