ADDISON – A Somerset County man faces charges after being accused of delivering a deadly dose of heroin laced with fentanyl to two people, resulting in one death.

State police in Somerset said Chad Swanson, 41, of Addison, is charged with drug delivery resulting in death, violating the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act and recklessly endangering another person.

Police said Christine Parks, 54, was found unresponsive in the living room of house on Feb. 4. Officials said they found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and numerous packets containing heroin in close proximity to Parks.

On March 2, a toxicology report confirmed that Parks died of acute multi-drug toxicity.

Swanson also is accused of delivering fentanyl and heroin to Joseph Murphy on Feb. 3, resulting in Murphy overdosing, according to a criminal complaint.

Swanson is in the Somerset County Prison on $100,000 bail.
