No injuries in crash involving bus, 13 vehicles in Cambria County

CRESSON TOWNSHIP - A bus carrying four elementary students from the Penn Cambria School District was hit head-on by a vehicle at a low speed Monday morning.

The crash between the bus and a vehicle was the catalyst for a chain-reaction crash, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

A dispatch official said a bus and 13 vehicles were involved in the crash, which took place at 8:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Saint Joseph Street in Cresson Township.

The children returned to school, where they were to be further evaluated by the school nurse, Penn Cambria Superintendent William Marshall said.

Road conditions were poor Monday morning after a sudden drop in temperature and snow. However, officials haven't identified the cause of the crash.
