The Latest: 7 women, 5 men picked for Spanier jury
HARRISBURG - Seven women and five men have been selected to hear the child endangerment case against former Penn State University President Graham Spanier.
Opening statements are expected Tuesday after lawyers pick four alternate jurors.
Spanier is accused of endangering children by mishandling child sex abuse complaints about retired assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
Two former Penn State officials who struck plea deals with prosecutors last week, former athletic director Tim Curley and former vice president Gary Schultz, are expected to testify against Spanier.
The government witness list also includes investigators and university staff who knew about concerns raised about Sandusky before he was arrested in 2011.
Spanier denies any wrongdoing. Sandusky insists he's innocent.
