Global company to bring 251 jobs to Lower Yoder Township
LOWER YODER TOWNSHIP -- A global customer management company will bring 251 jobs to Cambria County.
Convergys will lease a nearly 27,000-square-foot building in Lower Yoder Township to serve as a technical support center. The company is planning to invest $2.7 million into the project.
"These jobs will offer wages higher than the county average, which is especially important for this part of the state, and will contribute substantially to the economic vitality of both the region and the state," said Gov. Tom Wolf.
He noted that Pennsylvania beat out six other states to land the venture.
Officials plan to start hiring by the summer and hope to be up and running by the fall.
