Ferndale police arrest 4 teens after traffic stop, 3 weapons recovered
FERNDALE - Ferndale Borough police arrested four teenagers after a traffic stop Tuesday night.
The stop took place on the 700 block of Louisa Place around 8 p.m.
Police Chief Jim Rigby said three weapons and a bag of marijuana were recovered.
He said one of the weapons had been reported stolen from Conemaugh Township, Somerset County.
Rigby said the weapons were turned over to Johnstown police detectives, who are assisting in the investigation.
He said it's not yet known whether Tuesday’s incident was connected to one in which another juvenile was injured during a shooting in Moxham around 6:30 p.m.
A detention hearing is expected to be held in the next 48 hours for the four teens.
