Cleanup efforts to resume Thursday following Huntingdon train derailment
HUNTINGDON - Cleanup efforts following a train derailment in Huntingdon will continue Thursday.
A spokesman with Norfolk Southern said Wednesday evening that progress is study but it won't be until Thursday or later until all five derailed cars are removed from the creek.
The spokesman said rising water levels and swift currents Wednesday added challenges for crews.
The official said it is possible that train traffic at the site of the derailment could resume Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
No hazardous materials spilled and no one was injured in the derailment.
