Man requires surgery after alleged assault

ANTIS TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police were dispatched to an alleged assault and police said John M. Poland, 20, was assaulted by Lucas Jenson, 19, with a knife.

The two are employed by Duncan Inc. in Washington and were staying at the Relax Inn in  Antis Township, Blair County.

Police said that during the assault Jeson waived and slashed the knife at Poland, and Jenson struck Poland in the left cheek with his closed fist.

Poland’s injuries required surgery.

Jenson was arraigned on eight different charges and placed in Blair County Jail in lieu of $35,000 straight cash bail.

A hearing is scheduled for Mach 4.
