JOHNSTOWN -- Players on the current Richland High School roster are used to hearing about teams of the past. The ones that went deep into the state playoffs.

After two straight losing seasons, this group is hoping 2016 is the year they can get the program headed in the right direction again.

"We're always being compared to those other teams that went to the state semifinals and district six championships," quarterback Ethan Dabbs told 6 Sports.

"We're getting compared to those, 'hey what are these kids doing,' but in reality it's all part of the process. You have to have some rebuilding years and you have to have some years where you are on top."
